12 Year Old  Questions today’s parents Role in upbringing of their child

By Shifa Faiz Bangi

Recently a pic  of a Telangana small school boy who was standing in the  assembly  in half sleep with chapati in his pocket went viral in social media and
Shot the debate among child conscious people.

A twelve girl from Solapur too took the notice of it and tried to say something to parents.

“Dreams are not that you see while sleeping ,Dreams are that don’t let you sleep” is a famous quote by A.P.J Abdul kalam. It tells us how hard we should work to fulfill our dreams. But while running behind their dreams sometimes parents neglect their daily routine and they expect to do so.

Some parents think  that their children are very smart, talented and can take the load of their dreams. But actually the child cannot bear the burden of their parents dreams. As for example ,a child’s ideal age to start studying is 6 years but now-a-days because of playgroups and nursereys a child’s educational life starts from 2years of age when actually the child dosen’t even understand his basic habbits. When the child is not sensible enough to understand himself or herself how can parents expect them to give interviews and take admission in playgroups? Should the child start studying as soon as he or she is born? After the child completes playgroup or nursery the child is promoted to (LKG).A child of so less age needs 8-10hours of sleep everyday but because of early morning school the child cannot his or her sleep because of which the child becomes a victim of many mentel diseases. The child is unable to concentrate on what he or she is doing as a result the child loses his or her interest in studies. The child feels drowsy and irrated the whole day and is very inactive. In their childhood children should hop ,jump ,run ,play and be happy but instead they are found studying at home.

My parents always tell me that in their childhood there were many parks near the house for children to play.Every evening the children used to play in parks.Even now-a-days there are parks but there are no children to play in the parks.Every child is found studying at home.Now-a-days parents expectation from their children has become so high that they are sacrificing their child’s childhood for fulfilling their dreams.

The children of the early times were very healthy ,fit and fine and had a lot of strength.Because of which they could bear a lot of stress. But now-a-days the children have become so weak that even if  they get a little bit of stress they are  .If this continues ending their life.

Its now for parents should take serious note of this childhood snatching scenario .In future there will be no cricket ,hocky, tennis from India. There will be only doctors and engineers.so we should not run behind our dreams so much that we forgot to live our life. God has given us life only once so we should try and make the best out of it .!!
