Taking serious note of minority Students harassment at Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar University Jamat-E-Islami Hind demanded suspension of Prof.Dr.Geeta Patil .Who is the Head of the department of English Subject.
On Wednesday JIH members along with SIO (Students Islamic Organisation GIO (Girls Islamic Organisation representatives met Vice Chancellor of the said University.
Delegation informed VC through letter that Dr Geeta Patil is continuesly harrasing PHD students.
Nasir Johri Campus secretary of SIO spoke to millattimes.com on this issue and said that Both students approached JIH and SIO and informed us about the descrimination and harassment which they are facing .
He said that Dr.Geeta Patil is
threatening them, lowering their academic grades. The students are facing a lot of psychological torture and threats,he added.
Nasir said,In connection of this issue Dr.Shadab Moosa led JIH aurangabad unit met the VC of the said University to submit the memorandum.
According to press note the delegation also demanded that the case should be addressed through Women’s Harrasment cell and anti ragging committee of the University .
The V.C along with the Registrar and special officer Incharge promised a speedy look into the matter. The guideship of Dr Geeta Patil has been snatched with immediate effect ,It added.
One of the victim student has written a letter to the Vice Chancellor informing about the disheartening and mentally disturbing incidents .In the letter she also explained the details of unethical deeds done by prof.Patil.
