It was another moment of pleasure for me when Hazrat Maulana Rabe Hasani Nadvi Sahab, President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, released “Common Mistakes Among Muslims”, the English translation of the famous book “Aghlatul Awam” by Hakeemul Ummat Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Thanvi (ra). I feel very lucky that Allah has enabled me to do this translation.
The book release took place in a program arranged by Markazul Ma’arif Education & Research Centre, Mumbai. On the occasion, two other books –“Prophet Muhammad’s Life: an Introspection on Present Day Conditions” by Maulana Muddassir Ahmad Qasmi and “The Elevation of Woman in Islam” by Maulana Hifzur Rahman Qasmi– were also released. Earlier, the three books were released by Mr. Hamid Ansari, the former Vice President of India.
The book “Common Mistakes Among Muslims” or “Aghlatul Awam” aims at religious reform of the Muslim community. Over the ages, a fraction of the Muslims has contaminated their beliefs and practices. The book hopefully will help them reform themselves.
Since I was not in Mumbai, my pupil Mufti Jaseemuddin Qasmi received the book on my behalf. I thank Maulana Badruddin Ajmal Qasmi Sahab, an MP and the founder of MMERC, and also Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi Sahab, Director of MMERC, for their kind and continuous support to the likes of me.
