In an attempt to fulfill long pending demand of Urdu Ghar about 50 activists staged one day protest near District Collector office on Tuesday.
Under the central Government scheme Urdu Ghar was sanctioned to 10 Districts of the state .
Plot of 19000 sq.feet was alloted near Civil Chowk and budget of 5 crore was also sanctioned more than three years back but the construction was not yet started and the wait is still continues.
During the Indian National Congress party regime foundation stone ceremony was held in May 2014 in distinguish presence former Maharashtra state minister Arif Nasim Khan ,former union minister Susheel Kumar Shinde and MLA Praniti Shinde.
The delegation met the deputy collector under the leadership of senior Congress leader Adv.U.N.Beria and handed over the memorandum requesting the govt. To start the construction at earliest.
Speaking to Millattimes.com Adv.Beria informed that we are following the matter since Last three years sincerely . He says,Now the Bhartiya Janta Party is in power, project is facing hurdles instead of release of two crore initial fund.
If the Govt.fails to start construction within 45 days we will start protesting more aggressively,Said Adv.Beria.
He further thanked legislature Praniti shindi for extending remarkable support.
Solapur city is famous for Urdu School schools and the local Non governmental organisations have successfully conducted National level events like Urdu Mela,Urdu Drama festival,Urdu conference ,Seminars,Urdu Drama Competitions and number of Urdu Mushayeras.
Urdu Ghar is very much needful to conduct to more and more cultural and language promotional activities.
Urdu lovers and social activists Shafi captain,Ayyub Nallamandu,Councillor Riyaz Kharadi ,Firdos patel ,Shaikh Nizamuddin ,Ashfaq Sathkhed ,Shoukat Pathan etc were also present during the dharna.
