Child rights  activists  call for abuse free Day

On the eve of children’s Day child rights activists said that a huge percentage of children in India is suffering from Sexual, verbal or physical abuse and poverty .
According to them abuse free Day will be the real children’s Day.
On 14th November Birth anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru is celebrated as Children’s Day. All the primary and high school observe it with full zeal by conducting cultural programme ,decorating school ,Gifting children and organising various  competitions.
Sameer Sayed (Juvenile Justice Board Member ,Solapur Dist.) has
 something different to say ,He informed that nearly 53% children suffer from physical abuse at homes, neighbour hoods ,schools and other places. Lakhs of children are away from schools due to poverty, we also find a big number of kids who beg on streets, railway stations etc.
Sayed further said that each and every child has a right to live in safe and healthy environment. It’s a responsibility of parents ,teachers and the society to provide safe guard to them . He said, children are asset of our nation .preserving this asset  is our responsibility and we should carry it as top priority.
we are working to create awareness regarding POCSO Act (Protection of child against sexual offences)whenever get opportunity we visit schools and other gatherings to educate people and children,Sameer added further.
