A prominent social and political leader and former minister of Karnataka government passed away following a brief illness at the hospital in Bangalore, ‘Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.
General Secretary AIMPLB Maulana Wali Rahmani stated in his condolence ceremony that late Qamru-l-Islam was a great sympathizer and sincere towards Muslim community and entire nation, prosperity for humanity was his integral part of his life; his demise is great loss to the nation, he has been elected six times for the member of legislative assembly, and was Waqf minister in Siddaramia cabinet but he was dropped from the cabinet in last year’s reshuffle, he carried out tremendous work during his ministry, General Secretary AIMPLB added that he had a close link with leaders of Milli organizations, he always was ready to extend his assistance in resolving issues related to the community , currently he was representing the Karnataka legislative assembly, he was so serious towards Muslim issues, his demise created a big vacuum.
May Allah forgive and increase his levels in paradise.
