Maharashtra Maratha  Samaj conducts Chakka Jam for demand of reservation

In an attempt to raise the voice of reservation and extend support to deprived farmer community ,Maratha Samaj of Maharashtra staged protest and conducted Chakka Jam at various taluka places rural areas and cities of the state and handed over the memorandum to on duty govt officers.

As per the sources activists of Aurangabad, Pimpri chinvhvad ,solapur,Mumbai ,osmanabad dist etc flocked the roads.
It is indeed notable Maratha is demanding the reservation since years for their educational and social development.

Previous congress govt of the state had granted 13% reservation to Marathas before 2014 assembly elections. Bhartiye Janta Party won the election and came into power and  the matter went to the court. Next date of this case in on 27 February  at Mumbai High Court.

A few month back ago Maratha community hold rallies and silent Morchas all over the state in which lakhs of community people participate aggressively.

Ram Gaikwad President of Maratha seva sangh solapur spoke to Millat Times and informed ,nearly 90% part of state has been covered in today’s protest, our mai demand is reservation and justice with farmers.He said, farmers are the backbone of our society without their development we can’t achieve any thing.

A maratha activist from pune Mahesh Zhambre Patil commented that we are holding protest and rallies in peaceful manner. Why the govt. Is ignoring our demands?Swami Nathan commission report had already recommended reservations to our community. This state govt had  promised to implement the recommendation but now it is ignoring us,he added.
