Goa-losing candidate Saifullah khan puts question marks on EVM

A loyal congress activist and ex.municipal President Saifullah khan couldn’t convert his candidature into victory in  this assembly poles.He blamed  EVM ( electronic Voting Machine ) for his defeat and put question marks on its functioning.

Saifullah was the lone Muslim candidate fielded by the congress party  from Vasco constituency where Muslim population is nearly 34% .

Speaking with Millattimes.com Saifullah said ,we worked a lot and Over all response was also favourable. Total voters are nearly 35 thousands and about 25 thousand votes  casted ,he informed. We were expecting at least 9300 votes but I got only 3400 which is really shocking and unacceptable for us,he added.

Khan further  strongly supported ballot paper process for transparency .

The smallest state of India has total 40 assembly constituency  . In the history of Goa it has got only one Muslim MLA a rtd magistrate Shaikh Hasan Haroon who won three times from the same constituency.
