The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by its convenor Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to form the government in Delhi for the third time with thumping and spectacular victory. The current trends are showing the party leading in 63 seats, whereas BJP IN 7 seats. but BJP which won three seats in the 2015 assembly elections, is expected to improve its tally in the 70-member Assembly even though Congress seems to be zero again just like in 2015.
Delhi Chief Minister and AAP’s national convener thanked the people of Delhi for reposing faith in his government. “I thank people of Delhi for reposing their faith in AAP for the third time. This the victory of the people who consider me as their son and voted for us,” he said. Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari accepted the public’s mandate and congratulated Arvind Kejriwal. “I thank the people of Delhi. I thank our party workers for their hardwork, they’ve done a lot. I accept the mandate of people of Delhi and congratulate Arvind Kejrwial. I hope he will perform well as per the expectations of the people,” Tiwari said.
We will work together for the development of Delhi, says Kejriwal as he concludes his speech with chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai”. He furthers says Delhi has given birth to a new kind of politics today. It’s called the ‘politics of work’.
