Shocking footage shows cops dragging a woman off a Southwest plane after she reported a life-threatening allergy to two dogs on board
The woman, identified as Anila Daulatza by the Baltimore Sun, flipped out when cops put their hands on her.
“I’m a professor, what are you doing?” the distraught woman cries as an officer wraps his arms around her and forces her down the aisle of the jet in Baltimore on Tuesday
“I will walk off, don’t touch me!” she says as she struggles with the police.
“Then walk!” the officer shouts back. “Walk!”
The woman told the staff of her deathly allergy to her pooch passengers — one of which was a service animal — prior to takeoff and asked for the dogs to be removed from the LA-bound flight, according to CBS.
But the crew told her she was the one who’d have to disembark because she couldn’t produce a medical certificate proving she could travel safely with the animals on board.
“They spent a long time talking to the woman, explaining to her what the situation was, trying to work with her,” Bill Dumas, who shot the video, told CBS. “The pilot said they wouldn’t leave until it got resolved.”
“If you look at the police, they were being overly aggressive. Really, she wasn’t giving them much of a choice, and the people on the plane were saying, ‘just get off the plane.’”
Southwest later apologized to the woman — once the footage went viral online.
“We are disheartened by the way this situation unfolded and the Customer’s removal by local law enforcement officers,” the airline said in a statement.
“We publicly offer our apologies to this Customer for her experience and we will be contacting her directly to address her concerns.”
The incident comes just months after footage of Kentucky doctor David Dao being violently dragged off a United flight made headlines across the world.
Daulatzai was charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, disturbing the peace, obstructing and hindering a police officer and resisting arrest, Maryland transit cops said.
