Solapur-Media persons condemn Gauri Lankesh’s murder

With the attempt to condemn Journalist Gauri Lankesh’s murder and convey strong message to the govt. Solapur Shramik Patrakar Sangh (Working Journalists association) has held protest on Thursday near District Collector office and handed over the memorandum to the concerned authority.

In their one page memorandum media persons also strongly demanded the immediate arrest of the assassins of Gauri Lankesh.

President of the Association Vikram Khelbude expressed serious over this issue. According  to him Govt. should hand over the case to the CBI (central Bureau of Investigation) for fair probe.He further paid his homage to the deceased.

Following the outrage over cold-blooded murder of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh on Tuesday night by unidentified gunmen in Bengaluru, the Siddaramaiah government of Karnataka formed a special investigation team (SIT) headed by an IG rank police officer.

com that  scholars like Narendra Dhabolkar(Pune),Govind Pansare(Kolhapur) and Kalburgi (Karnataka) have already  been shot dead ,we condemn these assassinations .He said,Now a brave  lady journalist Gauri Lankesh has been brutally murdered .It is  creating scary  atmosphere among journalists. Central Govt should enforce Journalist Protection Law ,like Maharashtra to provide safety cover to Press members,Mane demanded further.

Journalists from Electronic and Print media gathered in large number to attend the said protest including Manish Ket,Shrikant Sabde,Suchitra Thalange,Irfan Shaikh,Sharif Sayed,Submit Waghmude,Anil Kadam,Vithal Sugar,Abdul Qadar,Shiv Kumar Patil ,Ayyub Kagdi.
