Leaders of the Indian National Congress and members of the INDIA Alliance attended a Roza Iftar hosted by Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi during the holy month of Ramadan on Tuesday.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi were among senior leaders present at the gathering, which was also attended by several opposition MPs.
In a post on social media, the Congress said senior leaders of the party and the INDIA alliance participated in the Iftar. Host Imran Pratapgarhi thanked guests for attending the feast, saying leaders of the alliance joined Rahul Gandhi in conveying “a message of love”.
Congress General Secretary K. C. Venugopal said he joined Kharge and Rahul Gandhi at the event and described it as a “joyous evening” where senior leaders and opposition lawmakers gathered to break the fast during Ramadan.
