Imtiyaz Shaikh, the only photo journalist of Urdu Media from Mumbai city bagged best photographer award for his excellent contribution in the field of photo journalism.Award was declared by Gurul School of Art ,lower Parel ,Mumbai and it was given away at the hands of school chairman Prithviraj Kambli on 20th August on the occasion of world photography Day.
During his service he has bagged several awards for his outstanding performance including Mumbai Press club award -2017.
This award is encouraging for me and every body likes recognition of his work,expressed excited Imtiyaz.
He said that every one carries Mobile with advanced camera in his hand today ,but this cannot hamper the importance professional photography which is never ending.
A professional always clicks a complete photo with proper angle and covers the background in an attractive way.Our photo doesn’t need captions, it is enough to say a story behind the scene itself,he added further.
43 year Old Imtiyaz is a part of press photography for last 12 years. After compeletion of Mass Media and Journalism ,he started his career in 2006 by Joinig “Mid Day” and Urdu Daily Inquilab .
Imtiyaz is currently working with “Mumbai Urdu News ” as a staff photographer and works for PTI and a GujratiNews papers as a freelancer.
