Udaipur incident is very tragic, un-Islamic and inhumane act It is highly condemnable: Maulana Arshad Madani

New Delhi, June 29, 2022
In a statement, condemning the killing in the name of Prophet (saws) in Udaipur, Rajasthan, Maulana Arshad Madani, President Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind said that just as we had opposed mob-lynching in many places, we also consider this inhumane act to be extremely dangerous to law and order. We are always against everyone taking the law into their own hands. The Udaipur incident is a very tragic, un-Islamic and inhumane act, it is highly condemnable. The law of the state would work accordingly in this case as well.
Maulana Madani also said that whatever happened due to derogatory words was bad, but in order to maintain law and order and Communal harmony in the country, it is necessary to show tolerance and patience. He further said that just as we oppose this incident, we are strongly opposing insulting the dignity of any religious figure or hurting the feelings of those who believe in a religion by using derogatory words. Maulana Madani also said that the silence of the powerful people of the country, and the not arresting the perpetrators are the reasons that have tarnished the image of the country all over the world, and set fire to law and order.

Therefore, we once again demand the government to immediately arrest those who have insulted the Prophet (saws) and punish them severely according to the law so that no one will dare to do so again in the future, as well as Muslims all over the world can find peace and contentment.
At the end, he said that we expect the government to pay attention to our explanations. and realizing the consequences of this most heinous crime, the perpetrators will be punished by sending them to jail according to the law so that people all over the world can appreciate India’s democracy. I appeal to Muslims everywhere to keep patience, and strengthen the old history of Indian brotherhood and compassion.
It is to be noted that the President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has gone to Malaysia to attend the meeting of The Muslim World League, from where he gave this statement regarding the incident in Rajasthan
