In an attempt to highlight the great literary work of Dr. Allama Iqbal in much better way Kokan Muslim Education society has observed Jashn-E-Iqbal on 9th November at Raees High school premises on the occasion his birth Anniversary.
A Day long programme was divided into four sessions i. search of Iqbal , ii.lecture series on Thinking of Iqabal iii.Poster competition cum exhibition iv. Gazal concert.
Prof.Sayed Hashim(President Urdu Department Aligarh Muslim University and Prof Ahmed Mahfuz (Jamia Milia Islamiya University, Delhi) Prof.Sayed Artuza Karim (Director,NCPUL ,Delhi ) were the speakers . In the key note address Prof. Sayed Hashim said that Iqbal was the great poet of Philosophy and he lauded efforts of Bhiwandi locals for organizing such a wonderful seminar on Dr. Iqbal.
Head Master of the Raees High school and a key organizer Ziyaurrahman Ansari Informed that we have decided to flash the depth of the poetry of Dr. Iqbal . Ansari Said , It is just our first attempt to represent him before teachers ,students and the society.
He further said, response and participation was overwhelming nearly 32 school participated in the painting competition in which Iqbal’s Poetry was tried to explain through paintings .
All the students and staff members visited the Exhibition and attended lecture series.
In the evening noted Gazal Singer Pooja Gaitonde added more colors in the celebrations by singing Gazals Iqbal in her sweet voice.
Speaking with Millattimes.com President of the KME society said that Dr. Iqbal was not only a poet he was a great scholar ,true patriot and great thinker but also . He says the main objective behind conducting this programme is to introduce Iqbal in his true sense. Fakih said that Iqbal had imbibed all the good qualities of a true Indian ,he never restricted himself around Muslims only, he has written on Sri Ram and Guru Nanak as well.He further stressed that understanding Iqbal is the need of the hour because his poetry is still relevant enough to show us the proper path and make us the vibrant community to compete and excel in all walks of life.
All the programmes were attended by Urdu loving people in a large number including Dr.Irfan Fakih (chairman academic council , KME Society) ,Dr.Musaddiq Patel,Prof,Qamar Siddiqqi,Ayaz Gorakhpuri and Aslam Karatpuri .
Konkan Muslim Education Society founded in 1927 . Now it has become one of the prestigious educational institute of Maharashtra . About ten thousands students are learning in their high schools, primary schools and other institutes.
