At a Global Webinar held yesterday i.e on 13th September, 2020 both the Chinar Foundation & Ibaadatkhana passed a unanimous resolution in light of the unfortunate situation prevailing in Jammu & Kashmir.
Both organisations represent the old ethos of the people of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh and have members from all walks of life such as parliamentarians, judges and a large number of illustrious doctors, lawyers, writers, thinkers, businessmen and teachers.
The resolution called for a four point demand to restore normalcy in Jammu & Kashmir and to ameliorate the suffering of the 12 million people resident there- To restore democracy, economy and statehood as well as providing compensation.
As the demands adopted by the said unanimous resolution are in the best interest of the Kashmiri people, and would also perhaps be best way forward, I have, on behalf of both the Chinar Foundation & Ibaadatkhana communicated the said resolution to all high functionaries in both the Central Government (including the Hon’ble President, Prime Minister & Home Minister)as well as the Government of the Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir (including the Hon’ble Lt. Governor), as well as all major political party leaders.
It is hoped that action would be taken there on and we would once again be able to witness the erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir, that we as proud Indians fondly remember.
