On Sunday Valpoi town based Phoenix socio Cultural Association has celebrated its 10th Anniversary and felicitated SSC toppers from Taluka at forest Training school Hall,Valpoi .in presence of social ,political and media personalities.
Addressing the gathering chief guest Parveen Faisal Shaikh (Chairperson ,Valpoi municipal council ) said Education is and always will be very important in building a strong foundation in one’s life” said Valpoi Municipal Council, Chairperson, Parvin Shaikh. She further expressed that education is a strong building block in building a stronger and healthier community.
The other dignitaries present on the dais were Principal of Siddhart Bandodkar Higher Secondary School, Anil Verenkar, vice-Chairperson, Sayyad Sarfaraz, PSCA, President, Abdulla Khan and President of PWWSH, Suneza Khan.
Speaking on this occasion, Vernekar said “Student should have the spark within them and that spark of learning will lead them to achieve success in their life”. He further said that practical knowledge is important and while seeking education child must know to learn, speak and write. He further lauded the efforts of PSCA for bringing up such events where every youth gets platform to showcase their talent.
Earlier, installation of Phoenix Students Wing was held and logo was unveiled at the hands of chief guest, Parvin Shaikh. Mazida Aga was elected President of the student’s wing. SSC toppers from Valpoi- Nasween Beig (Our Lady of Lourdes High School), Apeksha Gaonkar (Shree Ram High School), Prajyot Joshi & Prajyot Sawant (Hanuman Vidyalaya), Meher Khan (Unity High School), Nandkishore Bhute (Government High School) and Asiya Shaikh (National High School) were also felicitated. In the elocution competition, Syed Parvez from Unity High school bagged the winner trophy. The competition was adjudged by panel jury including Vernekar and Sabrinissa Khan.
Meawhile, Abdulla Khan welcomes the guest and gathering. While Vishnu UK proposed vote of thanks. The programme was compared by Tehreen Beg and Bushra Khan.
