Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made serious allegations against the Election Commission of India, claiming that large-scale manipulation in the voter lists, inclusion of fake voters, and rigging of electoral results have been carried out to benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His full statement is as follows:
“We and millions of people suspected that something was wrong. BJP never faced the impact of anti-incumbency. Opinion polls and exit polls said one thing, but the final results turned out entirely different. Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra are examples of this. They create an atmosphere — Pulwama, Sindoor, Ladli Behna schemes — and then the Election Commission choreographs the poll schedule.
Earlier, when voting was done with paper ballots, India used to vote in a single day. But now, with electronic voting machines, elections go on for months. Uttar Pradesh votes in five phases, Maharashtra in multiple phases, and sometimes even the schedule is altered for specific elections.
In Maharashtra, for instance, in five months, the number of registered voters exceeded the total number of voters from the past five years. Our alliance wins Lok Sabha seats but gets dismantled in the Assembly elections — no one knows where the alliance goes. One crore (10 million) new voters suddenly appeared in the Assembly elections. The Election Commission claimed there was heavy voting after 5:30 PM, but our booth workers said that was false — no such crowd was seen. Our first suspicion arose in Maharashtra. We had no proof, so we started an investigation. We held a press conference, asked the Election Commission how one crore new voters emerged, wrote articles, and the issue gained traction in the local media.
Then we decided — we need to collect solid evidence. At every step, the Election Commission refused to cooperate. We asked for the digital voter roll — they refused, repeatedly. We sent delegations, wrote letters — nothing happened. Regarding the voting surge after 5:30 PM, the Election Commission said they delete CCTV footage after 15 days. But in the 21st century, when unlimited data can be stored on hard drives, why delete this footage? What are they hiding?
We then began an investigation in Karnataka. We had won 9 Lok Sabha seats and lost 7. We chose one of the lost seats — Mahadevapura. In this seat, BJP won by 30,000 votes in the Lok Sabha election, but lost in 6 out of 7 Assembly segments, winning only one with a huge margin. In that segment, BJP led by 1.14 lakh votes.
The Election Commission gave us hundreds of kilos of data. If we wanted to verify one photo, we had to match it with all others; if we checked one address, we had to cross-reference it with all addresses. It took us six months. This — this is the theft. A total of 1,25,000 fake votes, manipulated using five distinct methods.
Five Methods of Vote Theft:
-
Duplicate voters
-
Fake or incomplete addresses
-
Dozens of voters registered under a single address
-
Unclear or improper photographs
-
Misuse of Form 6 for new voter registration
For example, Gurkeerat Singh Dong appears four times in booth numbers 116, 124, 125, and 126. He’s not alone — there are thousands of such duplicate entries.
Another duplicate voter is Aditya Srivastava. His name appears in Maharashtra, Karnataka (Bengaluru), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow), and Bengaluru Urban — all as a registered voter. Similarly, Vishal Singh appears twice in Karnataka and once in Varanasi. This is how 11,000 fake votes were cast.
In the case of fake addresses — some voters have no actual address listed, or show “House No. 0,” fake father’s name, or addresses that simply don’t exist. At one single-bedroom home, 80 voters are registered. The Election Commission claims they all live there, but none could be located.
Some photos are too small or blurred to recognize the individual. Then there’s the misuse of Form 6 — for example, a new voter named Shakun Rani was registered as a first-time voter on 13.09.23, yet she is 70 years old and even voted twice.
Summary of the Fraudulent Data:
-
11,965 duplicate voters created
-
40,009 fake or incomplete addresses used
-
10,452 voters registered at the same address
-
4,132 voters with unclear or unrecognizable photos
-
33,692 new voters registered using fraudulent Form 6 entries
Narendra Modi is Prime Minister because of 25 Lok Sabha seats. The Election Commission doesn’t share the data because if we do in other constituencies what we did in Mahadevapura, the truth about India’s democracy will be exposed. These are criminal evidences, and the Election Commission is trying to destroy proof nationwide. They are helping the BJP and undermining the entire electoral system.
