Sadiya Sami scored 96.40%, securing 482 marks out of 500 in matriculation (10th) examination this year conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), the results for which were released on 29th of March, 2026.
Sadiya, who secured the 9th rank position in entire state, is a student of HSS Aurai Urdu school, Muzaffarpur. She is the daughter of Sami Ahmad, who runs a clothing store, hails from Ratwara village in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. Sadiya Sami is the youngest among the four siblings, two sisters and two brothers. She aspires to be an IAS officer.

In a telephone interview with Millat Times, she told that she felt happy after seeing her result. “My objective was to secure a place in the top 10 in the state, finally I have achieved with 9th position in entire state. I profoundly thank Allah, my parents and teachers for my success,” she added. Sadiya said “normally girls in my village choose for arts stream but in order to pursue my dreams, i have decided to opt for science stream in intermediate. From her young age, Sadiya Sami has been a bright child. It has been said that She has been studying for 10 to 11 hours a day.

Speaking to Millat times, she said that her hard work and perseverance has brought a moment of joy to her family. She credits this remarkable feat to her family and teacher, Shani Kumar for providing emotional support and encouragement throughout this period. “My parents and siblings sacrificed their comforts in order to give me best of the resources available so that I could focus on my studies”, she further added.
As per the result announcement, the first rank was jointly secured by two toppers, both are girls-Pushpanjali Kumari from Jamui and Sabreen Parveen from Vaishali. Both scored 492 marks (98.4 per cent) in the Bihar Board Class 10th examination.
The BSEB, declared the Bihar Board Class 10th result 2026 today, on 29th of March, 2026. The Bihar Board, the matric results were announced at a press conference by state Education Minister Sunil Kumar, along with BSEB chairman Anand Kishore. As many as 139 students featured in the top 10 merit list. Over 4.43 lakh students secured first division. The exams were held from February 17 to 25 across 1,699 centres.
The overall pass percentage in BSEB Class 10 result is 81.79 per cent and a total of 15,10,928 students have appeared in the exam in which 7,84,871 are girls and 7,26,057 are boys. Among them, 4,43,723 students secured first division, 4,75,511 students obtained second division, and 3,03,103 students passed in third division.
