Valpoi (Goa) Amateur Throwball Association had organised state level throwball championship for sub-junior, junior, senior (for girls and boys) at forest training ground Valpoi recently.
Ponda Boys SC and Avenger Girls bagged the championship in senior category at Valpoi.
In junior category, Kamaxi boys and RD Khalap Girls won the championship. Meanwhile, Government High School Verem and SKK girls bagged the championship in sub-junior category. Prizes were distributed at the hands of vice-Chairperson, Sayyad Sarfaraz in presence of Nasir Khan, Fairoz Khan, Abdul Khan, Arshad Shaikh, Hanif Shaikh, Feroz Khan and Shoeb Shaik.
Secretary of the association Sarfaraz Sayed informed that they are organising this state level event since last 7 years consecutively.
He said that apart from tournaments we organise camps for students and coaches and conduct practice sessions in various schools to promot the game.
