Where My Freedom Lies?, a powerful new documentary produced by Millat Times and directed by award-winning multimedia journalist Meer Faisal, exploring the aftermath of the 2006 Mumbai train bombings, is set to be released on November 18.
The film follows 13 men who were arrested and labelled terrorists in the wake of the blasts that killed more than 180 people. Through their testimonies, it reveals how they were allegedly tortured into false confessions and spent years in prison before being acquitted.
The documentary highlights the human toll of fear, prejudice, and harsh anti-terror laws. It moves between the chaos of the attacks and the quiet struggle of the wrongly accused to reclaim their lives, asking what freedom truly means when a justice system fails the innocent.
Where My Freedom Lies? is expected to spark conversations on accountability, civil rights, and the impact of wrongful convictions in India, nearly two decades after the attacks.
The film will premiere on November 18 on the official YouTube channel of Millat Times
