Delhi Riot: Police Used Water Cannon On Jamia Protesters Outside CM Kejriwal’s Residence, Later Detained And Beaten Them

Delhi Police used water cannon to disperse the students of Jamia Millia Islamia, DU and JNU who had gathered outside the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. They were demanding a discussion over the riots of northeast delhi in which 12 people including head constable have been killed till now in Delhi and restoration of normalcy and peace. Four protesters went to meet CM kejriwal but his PA let them not meet CM.

The call was given by Alumnni of Jamia Millia Islamia and Jamia Coordination Committee to demonstrate outside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. People have gathered here demanding action against communal riots and seeking restoration of peace.

Jamia Coordination Committee in a tweet deamnds CM Arvind Kejriwal to responsibly react on anti-Muslim RSS pogrom in northeast Delhi. It tweets that Police using Water Canon to disperse the protestors, Arvind Kejriwal instead of listening to students using force to suppress the voice of dissent.
