Media persons are the unofficial ambassadors of communities ,their contribution towards building the society is commendable said Asif Husain ,state secretary of the JIH,Goa.He further said that journalists are assets of communities but unfortunately they are neglected ,we felt that if we want to get benefit from their talent then they have to be motivated and their services should be recognized before youngsters .
In a attempt to recognise contribution of media persons and inspire Goan students Editorial board of “Taare Zameen Par” magazine has felicitated Goan Muslim journalists on Sunday 25th December at The International Center Dona Paulo,Panjim .
TZP is run by the Board of Innovative Education (educational wing of Jamat-E-Islami Hind).
All the leading media persons working with Print ,electronic and online media Including Ashraf Ali Khan, Abdullah Khan,Aqib Anwar Shaikh,Imran Inamdar, Shaikh Nawaz Karol, shoeb Shaikh, Mohammed Afaq Khan,Nida Sayed, Ruvina Khan ,sheikh Jamaluddin and Zahuda khan , Shakila Khan , Rauf Beig, Esuf Mataji Irshad Ahmed Shaikh, Saif Shaikh have been felicitated at the hands of Dignitaries during the prize distribution of the day long event “Honhar sitaare”.
Senior journalist Ashraf Ali Khan expressed that besides an hounour for the media persons for recongnition of their services in the field of journalism, I feel it was also a great opportuinnity for a get-together of all the members of the press for sharing views on various issues affecting the society .Speaking further Khan congratulated and also thanked the organizer for this initiative.
I appreciate the efforts made by the Jamat-E-Islami Hind for honouring and recognizing the journalists from Goa, commented Aqib sheikh a young print media journalist from Valpoi town. This will motivate the young writers and will boost their energy,he added.
.Editorial board of TZP had conducted various competitions like young reporter, creative writing ,young researcher, spelling bee etc. for the Muslim school students of this coastal state on its first anniversary , event received overwhelming response over 700 students from various primary and high schools participated in the competitions.
